STORM BASKETBALL - UPDATED PRE SEASON SCHEDULE






Summerside PE - The Summerside STORM, PEI’s entry in the NBL are pleased to announce the offering of Summer STORM Basketball Camps to be held across Prince Edward Island. Through the support of presenting sponsor Roger’s Communications, the STORM will offer Prince Edward Island youth basketball players the opportunity to learn from the pro’s.
“Our camps are closely aligned with the STORM’s mission of engaging the community and growing the sport throughout the province. We are very excited to be able to work with our youth to offer this opportunity to help them improve their game” said co-owner Duncan Shaw.
The summer camps will be instructed by STORM head coach Joe Salerno with instruction from STORM players and will include; stretching, individual instruction, fundamental drill stations, contests, and team games, as well as the opportunity to interact with NBL professional STORM players. Coach Salerno has confirmed that STORM players Doug McKinney, Chris Cayole, and Eric Gilchrese will each be involved in the camps.
“We were extremely excited with the turnout and success of STORM March break camps, and look forward to continuing to build relationships with young players and communities across the Island. We look forward to helping potential future STORM players take their game to new levels this summer!” stated Coach Salerno
2012 Camp dates and locations;
July 9-12th- Westisle Composite High School Elmsdale
July 23-26th- Birchwood Intermediate Charlottetown
August 6-9th- Three Oaks Senior High Summerside
August 20-23rd- Souris Regional High Souris
STORM camps are available to grades 4-11 students. Grades 4-7 will be offered from 9:00 AM- 12:30 PM, while the grades 8-11 camps will be staged from 1:30 PM- 5:00 PM. Cost of the camp is $100 (plus taxes) and includes a camp t-shirt as well as a camp photo.
